Pakistan, UAE Vow to Strengthen Ties as UAE Celebrates 54th National Day

By Rana Tahir Shahbaz – The UAE Embassy hosted a celebration for the 54th National Day of the United Arab Emirates, which was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, federal ministers, and other dignitaries.

In his address, Prime Minister Sharif expressed Pakistan’s readiness to welcome UAE investment in sectors such as renewable energy, artificial intelligence, fintech, agriculture, and minerals. He highlighted the strong economic partnership between Pakistan and the UAE, saying it was a shining example of bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister extended his congratulations to the leadership and people of the UAE on this momentous occasion and praised the country’s remarkable progress under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He also acknowledged the contributions of the 1.8 million Pakistanis living in the UAE, saying they were making significant contributions to the country’s economic progress.

UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Salem Al Bawab Al Zaabi reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening ties with Pakistan in various fields, including economy, energy, and artificial intelligence.

The event concluded with the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and the UAE Ambassador cutting a cake to celebrate the occasion.
