Iran has shown interest to initiate more power projects in Pakistan.
This agreement was made during a meeting between Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan, Pakistan’s energy minister, and Ali Akbar Mehrabian, his counterpart, in Tehran.
The gathering included discussion of the shared interests.
The Pakistani government’s development of the transmission line needed to import electricity quickly from Iran to Gwadar was praised by Iran’s energy minister.
According to Radio Pakistan, he showed interest in starting other electricity-related initiatives with Pakistan.
Khurram Dastgir travelled to Iran to meet with Iranian officials to discuss the Pak-Iran Power Project’s development.
Pakistan will import 100 Megawatts of electricity under the Pak-Iran Power Project.
The transmission line for the Pak-Iran electricity project is now being built and will be finished quickly.
