H.E. Ali Larijani Welcomes Pakistan-Saudi Strategic Agreement

H.E. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme Security Council: We are happy with the signing of the strategic agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Today, the Islamic world needs this brotherhood. We no longer need speeches to solve regional problems, but we need action and cooperation.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said Pakistan desires to expand cooperation with Iran in the fields of security and counter-narcotics.

He was talking to Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Ardeshir Larijani in Tehran.

During the meeting, the two sides held detailed discussions on strengthening Pakistan-Iran relations and security cooperation. They exchanged views on counterterrorism, counter-narcotics, and border management and emphasized the importance of enhancing joint mechanisms for collaboration.

Ali Ardeshir Larijani termed the positive progress in bilateral ties as a welcome development.

Mohsin Naqvi also held a separate meeting with his Iranian counterpart Eskandar Momeni and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation on internal security matters.

Mohsin Naqvi congratulated his Iranian counterpart on successfully hosting the ECO Ministerial Conference, stating that it would have far-reaching outcomes for member countries. He added that Pakistan seeks to benefit from mutual experiences in the field of internal security.

Mohsin Naqvi invited the Iranian Interior Minister to visit Pakistan, who consented to soon visit Islamabad.

The Iranian Minister also expressed gratitude to Mohsin Naqvi for attending the ECO Ministerial Conference.
