Shahid Ahmed Khan, an American of Pakistani descent, has been chosen by US President Joe Biden to serve on the PACA.
The White House announced Khan’s selection in a press release. Khan was instrumental in uniting the Asian and Muslim worlds.
As it unites the country’s cultural conscience and broadens the center’s vision, the President’s Advisory Committee on the Arts continues to be a steadfast foundation of support for the John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts.
According to Shahid Ahmed’s White House description, he is a community leader, political adviser, and businessman whose life has been intertwined with global politics, with a concentration on the Asian and Muslim worlds in particular.
The experience of the Pakistani-American dignitary, according to the statement, was focused on advancing US ideals and principles through positive community involvement with the American-Muslim and South Asian communities.
Khan served as the National Finance Co-Chair for the John Kerry presidential campaign in 2004 and has advised presidential, gubernatorial, senatorial, congressional, mayoral, and judicial campaigns in the United States for the past 20 years. He was awarded a presidential medal for his contributions.
Activating and enlisting the South Asian-American community in the Biden for President campaign was made possible in large part by the proud Pakistani member.
A representative of the President’s Advisory Committee said Khan’s admission to the esteemed group is reason for excitement and that his unique perspective is expected to strengthen our objectives and broaden our influence.
