While addressing the media representatives during a press briefing at Kashmir Press Club Bhimber, Dr. Abdul Rehman, the Central Secretary General of Alkhidmat Health Foundation Pakistan, stated that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has allocated an initial fund of Rs. 100 million to deal with the ongoing war-like situation between Pakistan and India. Across the country, 3,000 doctors and paramedical staff, along with 30% of the beds in Alkhidmat’s 57 hospitals, have been reserved for emergency situations.

Letters have been sent to the Ministry of Health via the PIMA platform, and to NDMA and the Azad Kashmir government by Alkhidmat Foundation, offering the services of thousands of Alkhidmat volunteers along with 325 ambulances, who are ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army.

In the first phase, equipment worth Rs. 10 million, along with 50 ambulances and 15 mobile health units, has been dispatched to the affected districts. Additionally, three PIMA hospitals will be fully available to Alkhidmat during emergency situations.

Dr. Abdul Rehman further stated that the volunteer registration process has begun nationwide, with 2,000 volunteers already registered in Azad Kashmir alone. In Bhimber, over 200 youth have announced their commitment to serve as Alkhidmat Foundation volunteers.

He emphasized that Alkhidmat Foundation has completed all necessary preparations in case the situation worsens. In the coming days, they will also be organizing training for volunteers, in coordination with state institutions, on tasks to be carried out during disasters.

On this occasion, he also indicated that one ambulance each will be immediately dispatched to Barnala and Samahni. He added that Alkhidmat Foundation, with the public’s support, stands on the front lines during difficult times. He confirmed ongoing coordination with the district administration and health department officials at the district level, assuring the public that Alkhidmat Foundation will be present among them during this critical period.

Also present at the press briefing were District President of Alkhidmat Foundation, Dr. Riaz Ahmed Mirza, who briefed about the measures taken at the district level, along with focal person Chaudhry Fareed Ahmed, Chaudhry Amjad, Zeeshan Mujahid, and dozens of volunteers. During the briefing, the ambulances that arrived in Bhimber were also present outside the press club.
