Islamabad-Pakistan – Around 1000 flood victims including children, women and men were treated free of cost in a series of three medical camps by Shifa International Hospitals Limited (SIHL) at different locations of Rawalpindi district from 22 July to 24 July.

The flood-affected communities were provided health assessments, specialized consultations and medicine. Camps were organized in Fauji Colony, New Chakra and Chakri areas of the Rawalpindi district.

A multispecialty team from SIHL including doctors from Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine along with nursing, pharmacy and support staff offered services for three days.

The medical camps focused on addressing post-flood health issues like waterborne diseases, respiratory, skin and eye infections and other acute medical conditions. Community members wholeheartedly appreciated the efforts for providing timely and compassionate care at a critical moment.

“Shifa International Hospital stands committed to play its role in serving with compassion and promoting community welfare in such challenging times,” said a hospital spokesperson. “Through these initiatives, SIHL not only addresses immediate health concerns and executes its corporate social responsibility but also helps restore hope and resilience in the affected communities.”

SIHL will continue to support flood-affected populations in the coming days and remains ready to respond swiftly to public health needs during emergencies.
