On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, I would like to extend my most sincere wishes to Mother China, and to the Chinese compatriots in Punjab as well.
Since 1949, the Chinese people, under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, have been working assiduously with one heart and one mind, and have made great achievements in socioeconomic development. China has so far created two miracles in human history in maintaining a long-term social stability and enjoying a four-decade-more rapid economic growth. Entering a New Era in 2012, China has made a series of landmark achievements. China’s reform and opening up is an ongoing process involving all stakeholders. The third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in July spoke volumes of reform and opening up as being the key to every success.
China continued to contribute to the progress of humanity, and promoted the building of a global community with a shared future. China has always provided the international community with new opportunities for peace, security and development. The Three Major Initiatives on Global Development, Security, Civilization and the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping of China, have gained more extensive understanding, recognition and support from the world.
The 73-year-old diplomatic history testifies that the Chinese people have been in solidarity with the Pakistani friends, and China and Pakistan have stood by each other all along the way. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has achieved fruitful results so far. As a flagship project and key component of the BRI, CPEC has helped Pakistan steer towards a more resilient and stabilizing economy. The second-phase CPEC development will further transform Pakistan’s socioeconomic landscape, injecting a new impetus into the regional connectivity, peace, development and prosperity.
I wish China grow from strength to strength in its modernization drive. I wish China-Pakistan friendship enduring and everlasting.
