Lionel Messi, the star footballer for Argentina, has a special way of commemorating his team’s historic victory at the FIFA World Cup 2022, which was held in Qatar. In order to give the team members and support staff gifts, he has ordered 35 gold iPhones. The total cost of the iPhones is EUR 1,75,000. This translates to approximately Rs 5.8 crore in PKR.
The Sun reported that the unique gold objects have the Argentinian logo, the names of the players, and their jersey numbers engraved on them. Messi reportedly ordered the phones to be delivered to his apartment over the weekend, according to the report.
The publication’s source told them that Messi had intended to do something ‘special and blingy’ to celebrate the moment. “He got in touch with entrepreneur Ben Lyons and they came up with the design together,” the publication’s source added.
