Leading with Purpose: Why Zanda Financial Services is the Only NBFC Standing with Rawalpindi Leprosy Hospital

The Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) sector in Pakistan is rapidly expanding. Every day, digital apps process thousands of transactions, focusing on market reach, customer acquisition, and technical milestones. However, in this highly competitive industry, a critical question remains: Are financial platforms doing enough to support the societies that sustain them?

On July 13, 2026, Zanda Financial Services—the SECP-licensed company behind MoneyTap—took a pioneering step to lead by example. Our team visited the historic Rawalpindi Leprosy Hospital to hand over a PKR 500,000 donation.

This contribution holds deep significance: Zanda Financial Services is the only NBFC in Pakistan to step forward and dedicate corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding to this vital, 120-year-old hospital.

Why We Must Give Back to Pakistan

For over a century, the Rawalpindi Leprosy Hospital (operated by the registered charity Aid to Leprosy Patients – ALP) has quietly treated marginalized individuals who have nowhere else to go. It provides free and subsidized care for leprosy, tuberculosis, skin diseases, and vision impairment across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

While corporate philanthropy often gravitates toward mainstream charities, Zanda Financial Services consciously chose this institution because we believe in supporting the unsung pillars of our healthcare system. Rawalpindi Leprosy Hospital runs 97 beds and a wide range of departments on a constrained annual budget of PKR 177 million.

For us, giving back is not a compliance checkmark. It is about:

  • Targeting Real Need: Ensuring funds directly support essential daily hospital operations (cleaning supplies, medical consumables, and utilities) that keep the facility open.
  • Empowering Local Communities: Reinvesting in the wellness of the hard-working Pakistanis who drive our economy forward.
  • Setting a Precedent: Challenging other financial and fintech companies to look beyond corporate walls and actively uplift vulnerable segments of society.

The Positive Impact of Zanda Financial Services

Our support for the hospital reflects a broader corporate philosophy. Zanda Financial Services is built to drive positive, responsible financial empowerment across Pakistan.

Through our digital platform, MoneyTap, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our users:

  1. Safe & Regulated Credit Solutions

In an environment where consumers must be cautious of unauthorized loan apps, Zanda Financial Services is a fully SECP-licensed and regulated NBFC. We adhere to strict consumer protection guidelines, ensuring that borrowers have access to transparent, ethical, and safe credit whenever they face financial emergencies.

  1. Lifeline during Life’s Unexpected Moments

We design our financial services to help everyday Pakistanis manage urgent personal costs. Whether it is an unexpected medical emergency, a pending school fee, or home repairs, we provide the rapid support families need to navigate tough moments without losing their dignity.

  1. Financial Inclusion for the Unbanked

Traditional banking structures often leave middle-to-low-income individuals without access to capital. By utilizing advanced digital risk profiling, we bridge this gap, helping thousands of Pakistanis build a credit history and join the formal financial system safely.

  1. Transparent & Fair Practices

We believe that trust is earned through clarity. From clear repayment schedules to zero hidden fees, our platform is structured to support our clients’ financial health rather than trapping them in debt.

Moving Forward, Hand in Hand

A financial platform’s success should not only be measured by transaction volume, but also by the strength of the community it helps build.

At Zanda Financial Services, we are incredibly honored to play a role in keeping the doors of the Rawalpindi Leprosy Hospital open. We hope our contribution inspires a trend of structured, compassionate CSR initiatives across Pakistan’s entire NBFC sector.
