A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated on Thursday that the financial policies of a “certain developed country” were the primary cause of the financial difficulties faced by many developing nations, including Pakistan. The spokesperson made an apparent reference to the United States and called for coordinated efforts from all parties to contribute to Pakistan’s economic and social development.
“It must be pointed out that the financial policy of a certain developed country is the main reason behind the financial difficulties of a large number of developing countries including Pakistan,” Mao Ning said while responding to a question during her regular briefing held at the International Press Centre in Beijing.
