Former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan has been detained by paramilitary forces during a court appearance in the federal capital over corruption allegations.

The PTI leader is seen being led to a Rangers vehicle in videos posted by Imran Khan’s official website.

Fawad Chaudhry, a close aide to Khan, and other figures were the first to report the incident, claiming that the Pakistani Rangers paramilitary had “occupied” the Islamabad High Court complex and that lawyers inside were being tortured.

Imran Khan, “Enough is Enough,” and “Behind You Skipper” all appeared in the trending area shortly after his arrest, as thousands of people submitted tweets in response to the unexpected arrest.

Here are some of the reactions after the arrest of the populist leader.
