Dr. Abid Qaiyum Suleri, Executive Director of SDPI and Mr. Asadullah Habib, president ZTBL, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Food Security in Pakistan. The aim is to find useful routes for rural and small areas.
Both institutions will organize webinars, field days, seminars and workshops. Food security is a major concern of Pakistan which is linked to other national security issues. Due to climatic hazards and natural calamities, the food security situation in the country is deteriorating which needs to be urgently addressed, said Dr. Abid Selri.
He further added that due to lack of access to clean drinking water and sanitation facilities in Pakistan, food consumption is not correct.
