PEOPLE read listless, less precisely and less widely on screens than on paper. The pronounced turn down in reading is probable to have the major pessimistic impact.

Reading books and articles is one of the best ways to be trained to reflect seriously, recognize compound issues and split truth from narrative.

It is very important for being an informed elector, an involved resident, a triumphant college student and a prolific worker.

A couple of years ago, people liked to read newspapers, books, periodicals, tales etc. Students were used to read books and newspapers for facts, grounding for exams, and for leisure.

Kids also took joy in reading comic books in addition to their school books. But now the technological progression has been changing the behaviour of people and new age group youths behind the custom of reading newspapers and books.

Reading performs like yoga for our brain. It gets better our attentiveness and information. Habit of reading books improves writing and speech delivery skills.

Therefore we must read newspapers and books regularly instead of depending only on video contents.

With the dawn of higher technology, rising use of mobile phones and other devices are significantly destructing the younger generation.

Students have built up a strong link with their mobile phones, which is leading to an immense loss in their attentiveness and time spent on studies.

Negative effects being caused are lack of concentration, stress, low grades in education, lack of vision, weak eyesight, radio waves may be carcinogenic and the most important negative impact is cyber bullying.

Cyber bullying is taking place on social media, messaging platforms, gaming platforms and mobile phones; repeated actions, intended at scaring, angering or disgracing the targeted ones, by spreading lies about or posting embarrassing photos or videos of someone on social media, sending upsetting, insulting or aggressive messages, images or videos via messaging platforms, impersonating someone and sending mean messages to others on their behalf or through fake accounts; whereas, face-to-face bullying and cyber bullying can frequently take place besides each other but cyber bullying leaves a digital footprint.

Cyber bullying has much influence on students in rising suicides, increase of aggression, loss of self-confidence, depression and increase in student drug intake.

While cyber bullying may not be viewed as bullying by all who suffer it, these behaviours may be considered by some as having potentially unfavourable effects.

We conclude that the best solution to get rid of all miseries of life is to get back into the habit of book reading for which we can develop by having a few set times daily when we’ll read for at least 20-30 minutes.

Wherever we go we must carry a newspaper or book and sometime we must find a quite place to read.

If we turn off the TV or Internet in the evening, we could have a set hour when we read each night.

Or we could celebrate a reading day, when we read for almost the whole day. It will be a great fun!
