With social media platforms and messaging apps making it simple for anybody to disseminate unconfirmed or false information, the propagation of fake news has grown to be a serious issue in recent years. A recent instance of false information spreading throughout Pakistan is a report regarding falling car prices.

On social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, and WhatsApp, false information regarding falling automobile prices in Pakistan began to spread. According to the report, prices nationwide decreased as a result of the reduction in import duties. Many Pakistanis who wanted to acquire a car were excited by this news, which was widely spread.

.

However, upon closer examination, the story was found to be completely false. The government had not made any such announcement, and car prices in Pakistan remained unchanged.

In fact, prices of cars had increased over the past few months due to a variety of factors, including rising inflation and a devaluation of the Pakistani rupee.
